Ibrahim Murobafi is a Rwandan who was born and raised in eastern Congo. His family comes from Idjwe Island in Lake Kivu and he also lived in Goma, where he studied education and pedagogy in secondary school. Ibrahim and his family moved home to Rwanda in 1994. Since then he has worked as a driver and logistics coordinator for the Ministry of Education, BCDI Bank, a Fulbright research project, and The Initiative for Inclusive Security. He now owns his own business, Ibrahim’s Car Service, and coordinates travel for tourists in Rwanda and the Great Lakes region. Ibrahim is a member of the Parents’ Committee at his children’s school (Rugunda), and the president of his local community service committee (Umudugudu). He and his wife live in Kigali, Rwanda with their six children.
